I am a native of Mills River, though I lived in Miami, Florida for 20 years. My first dental work experience was covering the front desk and dental assisting. After six years, I decided to advance my education, attending Miami-Dade Community College, where I earned my degree in Dental Hygiene.
In 2006, I returned to my beloved hometown and secured a position as the Regional Administrator and Director of Dental Hygiene for a large practice with numerous satellite offices. Now I am back to my real love- working directly with patients and helping them to achieve and maintain optimum oral health. I always make myself available to answer any questions they may have, and am well versed regarding the direct correlation between oral health and overall health.
On a personal note, my two children, Dustin and Karla, grew up in Miami, but both later received their Bachelor’s Degrees from Western Carolina University. My daughter earned her Master’s in Public Affairs from WCU and is now the coordinator for Buncombe County Parks and Recreation Special Olympics. Dustin lives in Chicago and works for HUB International, an insurance brokerage.
